Shalva Gvaramadze Participates in the 5th Annual Meeting of the Bavarian International Trademark Association (BITMA)

GVARAMADZE IP LAW FIRM is pleased to announce that its Founder and Head, Shalva Gvaramadze, participated in the 5th Annual Meeting of the Bavarian International Trademark Association (BITMA), held in Munich, Germany, on 19–20 September 2026.

During the meeting, Mr. Gvaramadze delivered a speech entitled “Georgia, Intellectual Property and Europe”, addressing the development of intellectual property protection in Georgia, the ongoing harmonization of Georgian IP legislation and practice with European standards, and the importance of professional cooperation between Georgian and European IP professionals.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to meet colleagues from different jurisdictions, exchange practical experience, and strengthen professional relationships within the international intellectual property community.

GVARAMADZE IP LAW FIRM extends its sincere thanks to Dr. Udo Herberth and the BITMA team for the kind invitation, warm hospitality, and excellent organization of the event.

As a symbol of Georgia and its longstanding winemaking heritage, Mr. Gvaramadze also presented BITMA with a replica of the ancient Georgian zoomorphic wine vessel known as the “Duck”, reflecting Georgia’s 8,000-year-old winemaking tradition.

The visit to Munich also included the opportunity to experience Oktoberfest and enjoy Bavarian hospitality together with colleagues and friends.
