His journey in intellectual property began in 1976 at the Georgian National Academy of Sciences. In 1993, he became one of Georgia’s first registered Patent Attorneys and established the Gvaramadze Patent Bureau that same year. Between 1989 and 1991, he was an active member of the expert group of lawyers and patent specialists who drafted the first independent Georgian legislative acts in the field of IP.
